For promotion of 6-day tournament to be held July 19-24, 2007 at the
Fairgrounds,
Team Escapados - $2,000
For marketing of the WA State Cyclocross Championships in November 2007 at the Kitsap Fairgrounds
Silverdale Chamber of Commerce - $500
To the Military Fall Festival at the Kitsap SUN Pavilion,

For promotion of the Viking Cup Tournament at the North Kitsap Regional Event Center in Poulsbo.

The Kitsap Public Facilities District is proud to announce the recipients of the first EventFund awards for 2006. Grants were made to:
1) Kyle Sizemore Memorial Baseball/Fast Pitch Tournament for $2500,
2) Kitsap County Table Tennis Invitational for $2500
3) Tracyton Public House Senior Softball Tournament for $2,000.
Rex Weldon, spokesperson for the Tracyton Public House, said the KPFD EventFund grant will help underwrite the First Annual Tracyton Public House Senior Softball Tournament. This is the second Senior Baseball tournament scheduled for Kitsap County bringing16 teams from around the country to the Kitsap Fairgrounds from June 23-24. Senior teams in the 50+, 60+ and 65+ age categories will play 42 games during the two-day tournament.
The third annual Kyle Sizemore Memorial Baseball/Fast Pitch Tournament will be held on May 25-27 at the Kitsap County Fairgrounds. The tournament is named in honor of Kyle Sizemore, a former North Kitsap student and baseball player who was killed in 2005 by an under-age impaired driver. Proceeds from the tournament are donated to a Kyle Sizemore Memorial Scholarship fund and to the Kitsap Chapter of Mothers Against Drunk Driving.
Jim Lovelace, President, and Ken Quitugua, one of the founders of the Kitsap County Table Tennis Club, said the grant be used to help underwrite The Kitsap Table Tennis Invitational which will be held at the Kitsap Sun Pavilion from September 7 - 9th. The tournament, which will host 150 players from 8 to 76 years of age, will be the first USATT sanctioned table tennis tournament held in Kitsap County. -more-
